Gifting & Extended Shelf Life…
Our products freeze beautifully, making them an awesome option for gifting (or just saving for later)! Follow the instructions below and they’ll keep for several months!
Freezing Instructions:
Keep the product in its original packaging and place it in an airtight container (ziplock bags work great here).
Place in the freezer and store for up to 6 months.
Remove from the freezer the morning you’re ready to gift
Remove from the airtight container and thaw at room temperature in the original packaging.
Give the best gift ever (or eat them yourself…you deserve a treat too!)
Once thawed, our products are best stored at room temp (see room temp shelf life guidelines above)
Freezing and thawing FAQ
Can I freeze OCP stacks in their box?
YES! Just slide the bow off the edge, place the whole box into an airtight container (a gallon ziplock works perfectly here), and put it into the freezer. When ready to gift, take it out of the freezer and slide the bow back on!
Can I freeze stroopwafels?
You can, but for the best possible experience, we don’t recommend it. Freezing the caramel changes its structure so it won’t have that classic stringy caramel texture or pull.. That said, it’s still delicious and is fantastic when dipped into a hot beverage…so you do you!
Can I thaw and refreeze products?
Yes definitely, but the shelf life will be shorter after the second thaw (best eaten within a couple of days) or they might be a tad bit dry. Follow the original instructions for freezing
