Serve them to guests, give them as gifts, or take them to your next cookie swap…just be prepared for everyone to ask for your recipe! Pro tip: encourage your kids to put them out for Santa 😉. Ina was right - store bought really is fine!
Ingredients
1 package of slice and bake sugar cookie dough (store bought)
¼ cup (2 oz) vanilla sugar
Instructions
Sprinkle a layer of vanilla sugar onto a large plate or piece of parchment.
Remove dough from package, and roll the log of dough all over the sugar until it’s coated (add more as needed)
Slice dough into ½ inch pieces, and bake as directed.
Store leftover sugar in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 months, and use for your next batch of cookies!
Note: If sugar cookie dough is in ball form instead of logs, add the sugar to a small bowl, add one ball of dough at a time, and toss to coat. Then bake as directed.
